Florian Stadler, Founder, Cinematographer, Co-Owner
Florian and Stephen started color grading to ensure that Florian's own work as a cinematographer and Stephen's work as a filmmaker would stay true to their vision through the entire color pipeline. Bunte Farben was born when they realized that other DPs, Directors and Producers also wanted to achieve the same goal for their work, and they could help them get there.

Stephen Latty, Co-Founder, Lead Colorist, DIT (Local 600)
Stephen Latty not only co-founded Bunte Farben and guides our team of colorists, but has also made films throughout North America, Europe and in West Africa. He is the go-to expert for ACES demos for AMPAS and developed Bunte Farben's unique color management workflow through his work as an on-set colorist/DIT and senior colorist in our finishing house. He is a graduate of the Film MFA program at Art Center College of Design, and he received a BA with honors in English Literature from the University of California at Berkeley.
Sandra Stadler, Executive Producer, Co-Owner
Sandra came to Bunte Farben as an Executive Producer in 2016 with a passion for supporting the creatives that we work with, streamlining processes and driving innovation. She’s excited to apply her management experience to her own business after a long career in Tech, at several successful startups and Yahoo, where she led the first forays into interactive video advertising, launched many new ad products and later managed the innovation pipeline for the CTO’s office.
Tim Montoya, VFX Artist, Online Editor, Production Engineer
Tim not only runs all our state-of-the art production systems, but is also a very talented VFX artist constantly expanding his craft. He is also in charge of our online/conform and delivery pipeline, always keeping us at the forefront of the latest developments in post-production engineering. He also led our MPAA Trusted Partner security compliance efforts. After earning a BA in Film and Engineering at Michigan State, he’s been keeping up with the latest classes at Dolby and other post tech hubs.
Michael Angelo Macias
Mike joined Bunte Farben in 2022 as an online editor after spending several years at Fotokem working in dailies, conform and color assist. He got started at Point.360 and we’re thrilled to have him contribute his deep industry knowledge. When not at work, Mike loves point-and-shoot photography, film development and all things European. He’s also assisting Stephen and training as a junior colorist, so we’re excited to see what the future holds for him here.
